This image shows a letter that was read aloud by Senior Sister on the final day of our 2025 mission, just before we left Galle National Hospital, a moment filled with reflection as we prepared to say our goodbyes.
It captures a small but deeply meaningful moment from that day. Throughout our time at the hospital, we were met with warmth, kindness, and a genuine sense of welcome from every member of staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and generosity of spirit made a challenging and emotional period a little easier to carry.
We are deeply grateful to everyone at Galle National Hospital for the care and support they showed us, and we wanted to share this letter here as a reflection of that care, and of the gratitude we continue to hold long after leaving.
